VIRGINIA COMIC STORE TO BE OFFICIAL HOME OF CODY THE CAVALIER

GAME ON! COMICS of Vienna, Virginia is proud to announce a partnership with creator Jamie Cosley to publish comic books featuring Cosley's All-Ages creation, CODY THE CAVALIER.  Game On! Comics opened in December 2011 following the closure of Nova Comics earlier that year.  In less than two years, Game On! has become one of Northern Virginia's most popular stops for comics and gaming.  Owner Louis Meyer said “We are always exploring new possibilities for our business, and we are so excited about publishing!  Even better, to join forces with a creator of Jamie’s caliber and such a great character as Cody the Cavalier!"

Jamie Cosley, an artist and creator with years of experience, emerged onto the National scene with his 2010 webcomic CODY THE CAVALIER (codythecavalier.com), recently named One of Five Web Comics You Missed” by MTVGeek.  Cosley has published collections of CODY cartoons available through Amazon or at Cosley's convention appearances and store signings.

The CODY THE CAVALIER 2013 SPECIAL will be a 36-page comic book one-shot available only through Game On! Comics (gameoncomics.com), or via codythecavalier.com.  The Special features all-new stories featuring CODY and his pals, plus puzzles, and single-page cartoons & pinups from well-known comic creators.  Scheduled to contribute to the CODY THE CAVALIER 2013 SPECIAL are Eisner-winning artist Janet Lee (Return of the Dapper Men), Adrian Ropp (Disney's INFINITY Videogame), Shannon Weathers (Super Mouse), and Chris Yambar (Simpsons Comics).

Following the 2013 Special, a quarterly CODY THE CAVALIER comic book will be published, and like the Special will only be available through Cosley or Game On!  The Special will carry a $6 cover price.  Discounted pre-orders will be taken by a Game On! representative at Cosley's table at the Baltimore Comic Convention (Table 2405) Saturday, September 7th from 2-5pm.  After that period, pre-orders may be made by sending an email to codythecomicbook@gmail.com with your request.  A special limited sketch cover will be available by request.  The CODY THE CAVALIER 2013 SPECIAL is scheduled to be released to coincide with Game On! Comics' Second Anniversary, on December 7th, 2013.
